Daphne Pierre Bishop
Daphne Pierre Bishop is a seasoned workplace investigator and employment attorney with more than 20 years of experience advising and representing employers in a wide range of industries, including entertainment, tech, healthcare, retail, and manufacturing. She is the founder of Bishop Workplace Investigations, a law firm dedicated exclusively to conducting high-quality, neutral investigations into complex workplace issues such as harassment, discrimination, retaliation, bullying, and other forms of misconduct.
Daphne holds a certificate from the Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI) and serves as faculty for the AWI Training Institute. She regularly trains attorneys, human resources professionals, and fellow investigators on best practices in conducting fair and legally sound investigations.
Before launching her own firm, Daphne served as Managing Partner of the Los Angeles office of a leading national law firm specializing exclusively in workplace and campus investigations. There, Daphne led sensitive investigations in high-profile environments and supervised a team of attorney investigators.
Daphne’s earlier legal career includes over 15 years representing and advising employers in private practice at labor and employment firms recognized throughout the country–including at a global law firm with a consistently top-ranked labor and employment department, one of the nation’s largest boutique firms dedicated exclusively to labor and employment law, and a management-side boutique firm serving clients throughout California.
As an employment attorney, Daphne defended employers in both class action and single-plaintiff cases involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims, and litigated cases from inception to trial. She also regularly advised employers on best practices for maintaining legal compliance and minimizing risk across the full spectrum of workplace issues.
Daphne is a leader in the California employment law community. Thomson Reuters has consistently named Daphne as a Rising Star and Super Lawyer. Since 2022, Daphne has been a member of the California Lawyers Association Labor and Employment Section’s Executive Committee. She is a graduate of Yale College, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Daphne earned her law degree from UCLA School of Law. Daphne has been a member of the California State Bar since 2001.
